Resistance and durability, main qualities of composite sinks

The new Materia catalog incorporates four different models made from this compound

Last July, the Cantabrian company specializing in the bathroom sector presented its latest catalog, Materia, an extensive and unique collection where up to ten different materials can be found.

Always innovative, Bathco has shaped a family of bathroom pieces with universal morphologies and a wide variety of finishes capable of adapting to any space and context, being durable and timeless.

Composite is one of the lines forming the collection and is characterized by exceptional resistance, not surprisingly, these are sinks made from a material used in fields as diverse as aeronautics and naval engineering.

These sinks are made from a mixture of 75% natural stone (dolomite) and 25% resin. This combination results in a cohesive, strong, and highly durable product. Notable properties include its ability to resist moisture and prevent loss of luster, as well as its ease of cleaning, which helps maintain its visual appeal.

The collection is composed of four models: Mendoza, Entre Ríos, Rosario and Tucumán. Each of them responds to an idea or a design that needs a concrete form to make the whole fit together and they are available in white, light gray, and dark gray.

In the production process of each of these pieces, the polishing phase is of particular importance. It is carried out with special care to achieve a final result where only the necessary amount of material is used. In this way, the volumes have been refined to obtain very thin wall thicknesses, which lighten the product and give it unprecedented lightness and visual dynamism.

Unique Collection

The catalog is completed by the Solid Surface collections, which include a new series called Solid Surface + Wood and is one of the company's latest creations, Iron, Wood, Cement, Gold & Silver, Stone, Terrazzo, Swarovski, and, of course, Atelier, which features pieces created by the company's artists, who use the sinks as blank canvases where they express their creativity in the form of unique materials, textures, and colors.

For the development of its most innovative proposals, Bathco seeks synergies with professionals who share a vision with the company that goes beyond the ordinary, transforming traditional objects or materials into something out of the ordinary. This is the case of the Cast Iron and Solid Surface + Wood lines, for which the Cantabrian company has collaborated with industrial designer Lucio Traficante.
