Solid Surface Sinks in the Whole Renovation by Noé Prades
Ale and Julio decided to renovate their home located in the Poblenou neighborhood of Barcelona. He started working from home four years ago and began storing his product samples at home. Additionally, with the arrival of their son Mateo, the house became a parking lot for strollers, scooters, and the like.

They had the help of Interior Designer Noé Prades to tackle a much-needed full renovation, in which they were very clear that the change of the bathrooms would mark a before and after in their home.
The day area has an eclectic essence; in the living room, we find a macrame tapestry by Fruto Samore above the Chester sofa and the XL natural Tribu rug by Lorena Canals Rugs. The storage furniture is from Asti Deco, the tables and shelves handmade by a local carpenter, the tableware from Muy Mucho, and the plants from Colvin.
Another of the big changes was the kitchen; now fully open to the living room, with furniture lacquered in Roma 157 color. The countertop is Calacatta Boheme Vintage, with a “bullnose” edge, which gives a more vintage feel, and the Smeg Victoria line appliances.
Restroom
Regarding the guest bathroom, Ale Samaniego tells us that “before, it was a dark bathroom with no personality; the shower didn't even have a screen, so we never got to use it, and the vanity was conspicuously absent. Furthermore, this bathroom is at the entrance of the house, next to the kitchen and the living room. That's why it ended up becoming a storage room that was a complete mess. We also used to dry our clean clothes here because before the renovation, we had the washing machine in the kitchen instead of in the sleeping area.”.
Together with interior designer Noé Prades, they designed a custom bathroom with their real needs in mind. They were aware that foregoing a shower would detract from the house's value, but gaining a storage closet would add practicality to their lives, so they opted for the second option.
“The idea is that our guests will be able to use this room to freshen up and leave their coats and shoes in the closet,” so they can keep the house #covidfree.
The closet was designed by Julio to maximize every inch of space. It features a two-shelf shoe rack, a coat hanging area, and space for the baby stroller, motorcycle helmets, tools, Julio's work supplies, and more. This results in a very practical piece of furniture whose doors are decorated with chinoiserie wallpaper, as Noé Prades advised.
Every single element in the bathroom was chosen to create a balanced atmosphere, and Ale explains it like this: “The vanity was a custom design by Noé Prades, and on top of it, we placed the Umbría Solid Surface sink from Bathco. The mirror was salvaged from Julio's mother's country house; you know how much we love pieces with a story. The tiling and flooring are from Yanyare. We've also incorporated a foldable wooden step stool from Astikitline so Mateo can wash his hands independently.”.
Thanks to these details, what was once a genuine storage room has been transformed into a space worthy of a boutique hotel.
Master bedroom
In the sleeping area, we find the master bedroom with a headboard made from an antique door, a Domotex mattress, and a bed from Maisons du Monde. The bedding is from Calma House.

The main bathroom also underwent a radical change. The importance of the details has made it possible to create a space that brings peace and well-being. Noé Prades designed both custom-made pieces of furniture, combining oak wood and caning to stylishly solve the storage space.
The polished brass vintage-style faucet contrasts with the honed Carrara marble countertop. Two Bathco Solid Surface Belted sinks were installed there.
The porcelain tiles have just given personality to the room, and the crepe pink walls and vintage tiling bring luminosity.
