Yesterday, Wednesday, February 22nd, Bathco wanted to pay tribute to art and design with live performances by these three internationally renowned artists.
To commemorate the celebration of Cevisama 2017, Bathco dedicated a day to art, which is so present in its latest collections. During the event called ART DAY Iena Cruz, Judas Arrieta, and Emeric Minaya they embodied their particular way of living art through different artistic actions.
Judas Arrieta created a mural inspired by comics and Asian pop culture, which characterizes his work. Meanwhile, Iena Cruz, whose specialty is graffiti, illustrated a more animal-themed piece. Finally, Emeric Minaya chose to represent a skull, which is highly representative of Mexican popular culture. With this intervention, the three artists showed the possibilities that Bathco offers for creating ad hoc artistic projects through its BATHCO ATELIER project.
JUDAS ARRIETA
Hondarribia (Spain), 1971. Judas Arrieta is one of the most recognized multidisciplinary Spanish artists of his generation. He grew up with Kung-fu videos and Asian popular culture, which are the main sources of his work. His work is included in numerous Spanish public collections and has been widely exhibited in Europe and Asia.
IENA CRUZ
Milan (Italy), 1981. Iena Cruz's passion for graffiti has been evident since childhood. Her tendency to scrawl her name on all the walls of her apartment set the stage for her artistic trajectory. California's skateboarding culture and its rebellious spirit led her to stamp her graffiti on the walls and trains of Milan, and she later specialized in Street Art, a passion that led her to move to the streets of Brooklyn.
EMERIC MINAYA
Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic). Emeric Minaya is a visual artist whose work can be categorized within figurative realism, a style he captures in his work, which has traveled to places such as his native city, New York, Barcelona, or Santander, where he has settled to work as art director at Atelier de Bathco.
