CESINE interior designers create a bathroom adapted to the Lostal storefront
Jamileth Santander and Lidia Calvo have decorated the Lostal shop window, located in the heart of Santander, in a project where they had to face the difficulties of adapting their idea to a specific space so different from a traditional bathroom.

The two students from the official Interior Design degree program at CESINE have brought this idea to fruition after winning the window dressing competition organized by the decoration company, in which 11 student groups participated, mentored by renowned professionals in the design field.
The development of the proposal has consisted of the design of a bathroom with all the necessary elements for its composition, for which they have counted on the collaborating brands: Pamesa Cerámica, Nobili Rubinetterie, IRSAP, Bathco, Industrias Metalúrgicas Beltrán, and Ibergroup.
For Lidia Calvo, this has been a unique opportunity to bring her own project to life, tutored by interior designer Olga Llata: “the design process was incredible. When it came to transferring it to the exhibition space, we had to make some small changes to adapt to the venue, but those are things that train you for the future, because they can happen to you in a real job”.
The two students receive the Lostal award along with Fermín Gutiérrez, Óscar Lanza, and Olga Llata.
Additionally, Jamileth highlights that the projects they have developed throughout their career have brought them closer to the “professional sphere” from day one, with professors who are actual active professionals and who provide them with the most solid knowledge base and the most up-to-date real-world experience.
“Our work has revolved around the idea of using natural elements, with a stone bathtub as the centerpiece. Here, we combine the theoretical and practical training we acquired at CESINE with the creation of our own designs that define us as future professionals,” she assures.
This initiative has provided a significant boost for students in the Official Interior Design Degree program in their efforts to connect with the business world, as well as reinforcing their training thanks to the key skills and tools they develop at the university center, which they can complement with real internships.
