Inspire & evoke, Bathco presents its space at Casa Decor 2021

Atelier

Inspire & evoke It is a space that focuses on the materials and textures of nature that have inspired art throughout the centuries. This space arises from the collaboration between Bathco and interior designer Beatriz Silveira and this collaboration is no accident. Both parties are working in search of new materials through sophistication, and it's that common ground that has allowed them to meet and present the space. Inspire & evoke at Casa Decor 2021.

For the first time and exclusively for Casa Decor, the Sand Waves collection by Solid Surface is presented with a sink featuring sinuous shapes that invite you to experience its smooth touch. This collection will be available soon.

The bath moment is headlined by DadoQuartz Pretoria Bathtub The area, surrounded by light, conveys serenity and freshness. In the shower area, its firmness is reaffirmed by the Beige stone plate Simi that is combined with teak wood details. The floor-mounted toilet New Ronda with the concealed cistern, it emphasizes the desire for visual cleanliness in the space.

Beatriz Silveira's creativity led her to envision three pieces for the bathroom on the fifth floor of Casa Decor 2021 that connect with the origin of materials and art inspired by nature. She then transferred these designs to the artists at Bathco Atelier, who have worked on hand-molded ceramic pieces to bring them to life. In this way, there has emerged The furniture's cladding in the vanity area, a sculptural lamp that crowns the Pretoria bathtub, and flanking the wardrobe doors are two striking origami-inspired sconces.

Although the pictorial aspect is very present in many of the works carried out by the Cantabrian company, on this occasion the artists were clear from the beginning that sculptural technique would be the basis of a work made of porcelain molded by their expert hands.

Technically, it was a complex work composed of three sculptural pieces, and although the creation process differed for each, all three share a common foundation in their processes.

Once the most suitable material was chosen, different variables of textures and molding were evaluated; in this case, no molds were used, and each and every piece was entirely handmade. The choice of color was also very important, as was its own color and texture, so that the entire space had a homogeneous appearance. Finally, it moved on to the baking process, which, thanks to the company's ceramic experience, was a guaranteed success.

Interior designer Beatriz Silveira designed a wooden piece of furniture and commissioned Bathco Atelier artists to create a two-meter ceramic cladding to adorn it.
