Alba, unique pieces

The owners of this 120 square meter apartment in Sofia, Bulgaria, wanted an “interior for a new world“, so Voood Inc proposed an interior design project where they incorporated their knowledge of product design and developed a whole range of lighting objects as well as tableware for this “minimalist noir” space with a balanced micro-environment. This is how the Alba project was born.

Upon entering the house we find an L-shaped space that houses the kitchen, the dining room and the living room, ending in a sunny terrace.

Inteligent interior design

The Voood Inc studio is aware that “An intelligent interior plan goes further than the furnishing which fills the space. It strikes at the root of living requirements and changing habits”, so they came up with a room where each of the elements makes sense. They chose natural stone from FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti to make the fireplace and the piece of furniture that covers the front, along with cabinets designed by the studio itself, whose doors are made from black-painted wooden bars. There we see an armchair from Dutch Bone and the sofa from Sofia Design District .

Make it tasty

“We design and develop a range of products respect to client desire” Volen Valentinov

From the studio they comment that “Our client is a real estate agent who have a feeling and passion for food and cooking. A desire to have large working area with professional equipment where he can explore his passion and creations was a main topic of the design brief.

The large central furniture allows a large work area. There we see again the natural stone present in the fireplace in the living room, the Neve Rubinetterie faucet, the Zuviver furniture all on parquet from Kahrs Romania.

Recipe for a truly sophisticated kitchen:

  • First, make sure you have a great mix of diffused and directed light.
  • Then a couple of square meters of Venetian terrazzo to ensure the presence of delicate stone.
  • After, if necessary, you can put firewood. We recommend using hickory for slow heating!

Wood and terrazzo collection

Voood Inc. knows the added value that lies in unique pieces and therefore designs a collection of accessories for the kitchen.

The added value lies in creating every collection as a solution kit for architecture and interior design with matching colours, sizes, patterns and surfaces, designed to dress spaces and styles with technically impeccable solutions.

Time to sleep

Simplicity and functionality characterized by few but interesting elements. The bedroom is a space free of objects, but full of emotions. There we find the uniqueness of the Iceberg lamp made of porcelain and with an artistic approach that draws attention to global warming and the melting of glaciers. The electrical system in this room is from Schneiderelectric.

A large walk-in closet is accessed from the master bedroom through a sliding glass door, making everyday rituals easy and enjoyable.

Spa at home

Contrasting matte and raw textures, transparent and opaque glass create a subtle differentiation between flat and contoured surfaces. All designed to dedicate time to the soul and the body.

All bathroom features are integrated to free up space and give you a sense of peace and quiet. Stereo sound is provided by two small speakers built into the false ceiling where the shower is located.

The terrazzo tiles stand out for their colour and texture in this timeless design and there is the Solid Surface Barros pedestal washbasin from Bathco.

Playground

The children’s room is conceived as a place to explore with simple functionality and open to daily play.

Elegant and sober porcelain tiles, exceptional raw wood and large-format NASA telescope photos printed on wood-fibre-based wallpapers are used.
