What are the hotel bathrooms like?

As in homes, hotel bathrooms have gained a lot of weight in recent years and come to have the same role as the room itself. This space is no longer only seen as a merely practical place, but rather a haven of peace and relaxation is sought, as interior designer Natalia Zubizarreta confirmed in the interview we did for our #CanalDeco.

The interior designer assured that “When I go to a hotel, the bathroom is one of the spaces where I look the most to see if the hotel has a category, if there has been a good project. Because sometimes an effort is made in common areas but in the bathroom sometimes slips because it is always cold. For me, a bathroom has to be very warm and very cozy thanks to the materials and the lighting is what will give you that warm point so that it is practical but very cozy”.

To achieve spaces of peace to which the visitor wants to return, many hotel groups and establishments opt for sensory designs based on neutral and warm tones, natural textures, hardwood furniture, etc.

To see these designs, we enter hotel rooms in which the interior design has been specially taken care of to offer unique experiences.

Marble as a fundamental material

The “Porcelana” studio, through its Porcelana Project department, renovated the emblematic Macedonia Palace in Thessaloniki. This hotel, which has completed 60 years of operation, is considered one of the most famous and prestigious hotels in Greece.

Its renovation and modernization radically changed its image, choosing quality and aesthetically attractive products. Marble acquired great importance, very present in the bathrooms of the rooms where you can see the rectangular Olea washbasin by Bathco.

Width to the bathroom

In the southwest of the island of Mallorca is a little piece of paradise called Camp de Mar, a town with spectacular views of the bay. There is Bahía Camp de Mar Suites.

Given the impressive views, importance was given to the large windows that invite you to enjoy the sea breeze in each of the rooms. The access doors to the bathroom were installed with sliding doors so as not to hinder this view, so the interior designer Joan Toni Martí creates spaces full of spaciousness and light.

Diluted limit

The boundary between the bathroom and the bedroom is not clear at the Dunas Blancas hotel . With the clear objective of creating comfortable, Mediterranean-style rooms, the rectangular Dinan washbasin is placed on the same surface as the desk, creating multipurpose spaces.

Sustainable rooms

When conceiving the Hotel Orangine, the Amara Hotels chain was very clear that it wanted to offer a unique hotel experience encompassed in good taste and complying with all the precepts of sustainability and good work. To achieve this, the hotel makes use of renewable energies and works with ecological products. In addition, the interior design project included natural materials and a distribution that takes advantage of natural light.

Functional and aesthetic

The functional can be functional and aesthetic without having to argue. There shouldn’t be a barrier. In the case of Yurbban Hotels, they manage to make this pack of aesthetics and functionality without arguing or creating barriers between the two concepts. This was stated by the interior designer Raquel Sogorb when we asked her about hotel interior design.

Romantic and lonely

The Faro de Isla Pancha hotel invites you to sleep with the immensity of the sea at your feet and sheltered from the stars, in an isolated, solitary place that invites reflection and awakens romanticism. Few places have the ability to bring together so many features and one of them is lighthouses.

With history

Through a decoration that combines elegance with luxury, the Palacio Helguera hotel makes available to its customers a selection of period pieces and antiques, from contemporary furniture to unique objects discovered by the interior designer Malales Martínez Canut on her travels through Europe.

The rooms, whose names are inspired by the ancestors of the developers of the project, offer the exclusivity of palatial luxury and the comfort of contemporary hotels.
