The Atelier is the place where art meets ceramics, the most artisanal part of Bathco.
Here, a group of artists intervene each washbasin combining technique, craft and tradition, resulting in unique pieces, converted into an unrepeatable expression of handmade work.

The Workshop

A space for creation

The workshop is a unique initiative that links, for the first time, the world of art to the ceramic and bathroom decoration sector. A collaborative project with eight artists who contribute their personal stamp and their way of living and understanding art in each of the pieces that come out of the kiln of this workshop.

Artists

The Bathco Atelier is much more than a workshop: it is a space for creation in which the unique. In this place, recovered from the old ceramic decoration workshop, our artists work each washbasin and mural as if it were a canvas, exploring techniques, materials and textures with total creative freedom.

Olga Sánchez

Olga Sanchez

From the beginning of her career, Olga Sánchez showed a deep interest in the expressive possibilities of ceramics and graphic arts. Trained as a Superior Technician of Plastic Arts and Design in Artistic Ceramics at the Francisco Alcántara School of Art in Madrid, she has oriented her learning towards material exploration and the development of her own language.

Her creative restlessness also led her to complete her training as a graduate in Graphic Design and Engraving and Printing Techniques at the Fundación Casa de la Moneda, thus expanding her visual resources and consolidating an artistic base that combines artisanal sensitivity with technical rigor.

María Centeno.

Maria Centeno

María Centeno studied Fine Arts at the University of the Basque Country and specialized in Graphic Arts. Her work covers disciplines such as Painting, Sculpture and Art in Public Space, standing out above all as an engraver. Her work has been recognized with many awards including the international Platinum A'Design Award.

José Luís Ochoa.

José Luís Ochoa

Jose Luis Ochoa holds a PhD in Contemporary Art from the University of the Basque Country, is a teacher and, above all, a visual artist. He based his doctoral thesis on “Matter and the radical experience of the ineffable in contemporary painting”.

Ana Expósito

Ana Expósito

Ana Expósito, a Madrid-born artist based in Santander, is a plastic artist and graphic designer graduated from the School of Audiovisual and Graphic Training in Madrid.

Ángel Lestón.

Angel Leston

With a degree in Fine Arts from the University of the Basque Country, José Ángel Lestón showed a great interest in plastic language since he was a child and, once he obtained his degree, he continued his education with the intention of improving his creative universe and to carry out a research project in which he analyzed figurative painting as another means of communication.
